AUSTRALIAN OPEN TENNIS FANS TOOK A CHANGE OF PACE WHEN THEY JUMPED ONBOARD

The Challenge

Australian Open's major sponsor, Kia Motors was looking to amplify their presence. The challenge? Create an unparalleled VR experience centred around their new high-performance sports sedan, the Kia Stinger, that would captivate tennis fans and showcase the prowess of both the car and the technological capabilities of Created by Catalyst.

OUR FULLY RIGGED MOTION PLATFORM DELIVERED A RIDE LIKE NO OTHER

The Solution

Created by Catalyst took the reins and designed two robust VR simulators, each capable of hosting four participants, featuring authentic Kia Stinger interiors and advanced VR technology. With meticulous design and over 80 metres of wiring, the simulators provided a genuine feel. The VR campaign transported users to Victoria's Great Ocean Road and the iconic Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst. Through high-definition 360 video and custom VR camera mounts tailored for the Kia Stinger, participants felt the adrenaline of the car's 240km/h speed.
